It gives me immense pleasure to announce the beginning of a new
feature 'Club Rare and Raring.' I had been toying with this idea since
the inception of this blog, and now it's here.
'Club Rare and Raring' are game makers who have been there and done that...many times over... and even as you read this, they are practicing the wonderful art of game making, in their own way. That's the core binding factor for all the members of this club. They are enthusiastic, experienced and successful game makers who have adopted game making as a way of life rather than as a job or as a career. The club will also include newcomers who have, time and again, displayed qualities that Rare and Raring values the most in the field of entertainment. These guys definitely stand the chance to make it to the top.
Rare and raring will post the interviews with these personalities and if we are lucky enough (and they have time to spare from making games), also get an article on a topic of their choice. A recommended read for aspirants and veterans alike! So let's begin...

With a career spanning over 8 years as a game designer, it’s
no surprise that Pratik Murarka is a natural choice for the club. He is the
co-founder of Idealabs Interactive and is heading the India operations for the company.
His well organized work style (he takes it to a new extreme), industry staying
power and game design portfolio earn him a Veteran’s badge.
